Intro
Constitution is a deepwater subsea gas development in the Gulf of Mexico, producing via subsea wells tied directly into pipeline infrastructure. It operates without a host production platform, functioning primarily as a gas export system.
Field
The Constitution field is located in Green Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, targeting deepwater gas reservoirs within sandstone formations. The development is moderate in scale and designed primarily for gas production and export.
Facilities
The Constitution development consists of subsea gas wells equipped with subsea trees and tied into a subsea manifold system. Gas is transported via flowlines directly into export pipelines, with minimal processing at the seabed. The system relies on downstream facilities for full gas treatment. Subsea control is provided via umbilicals supplying hydraulic power and communication. Flow assurance is maintained through insulation and chemical injection where required. The absence of a surface platform reduces infrastructure complexity, with the development focused on efficient gas transport from reservoir to pipeline network.
