Intro
Halfdan B is a fixed steel processing and support platform in the Halfdan complex, bridge-linked with Halfdan A. Commissioned in the early 2000s, it provides additional separation capacity, riser functions and accommodation within the Halfdan cluster.
Field
Linked to the Halfdan field, Halfdan B expands processing and well support capacity for this large Danish North Sea oil and gas development. It forms part of an integrated multi-platform hub with Halfdan A and Halfdan C.
Facilities
Halfdan B’s role includes multiphase separation, riser and wellhead functions, and significant accommodation facilities. It operates in concert with Halfdan A’s processing systems, sharing power generation, water handling and compression systems. Inter-platform bridges house control rooms and utilities for integrated operations. Subsea and topside pipelines connect Halfdan B to A and C for fluid sharing and export routing. Control systems, fire and gas detection, and utility systems are typical of large offshore hubs handling oil, gas, water and injection services.
