Intro
Dan FB is a fixed steel jacket wellhead platform installed in the Dan oil field in 1986. As part of the Dan F cluster, it provides additional drilling slots and production support. It exports hydrocarbons via bridge links to the central Dan FC processing complex and does not host significant processing trains itself.
Field
Within the Dan field’s Upper Cretaceous chalk reservoir, Dan FB supplements the wellhead network feeding processed oil and gas flows into the Dan F central facility. The field’s development leverages multiple satellite platforms feeding central hubs.
Facilities
Dan FB’s infrastructure consists of wellhead decks with production and possibly injection wells accessing the chalk reservoir. Fluids are routed via bridge and pipeline connections to Dan FC for three-phase separation, gas conditioning, and export preparation. The platform’s utilities focus on remote well control, electrical distribution for basic systems, safety shutdowns, fire and gas detection, and communications. Major utilities and processing, including gas dehydration and oil stabilization, are centralized at Dan FC. Export infrastructure interfacing with Dan FB through Dan FC includes oil export to Gorm E and gas export towards the Tyra complex. Subsea umbilicals and control cables enable remote operations and integration within the Dan F complex.
