Intro
Dan FC is the central processing and accommodation platform in the Dan F complex, installed in 1986. It functions as the main processing hub for oil and gas from the Dan field and adjacent satellites (e.g., Kraka, Regnar), with accommodation for personnel and processing trains for separation and conditioning.
Field
The Dan field is an Upper Cretaceous chalk oil field discovered in 1971, forming one of Denmark’s cornerstone offshore developments. The Dan F complex handles production from the main field and tie-ins from satellites.
Facilities
Dan FC incorporates multi-train three-phase separation facilities to treat oil, gas, and produced water from Dan FA, FB, FE and external satellites like Kraka and Regnar. These processes include primary separation, gas dehydration, oil stabilization, and produced water treatment. Gas is pre-treated on Dan FC prior to export through regional networks (e.g., Tyra East), while stabilized oil is routed through export pipelines via the Gorm E riser platform. Accommodation modules house operations and maintenance personnel, with power generation, HVAC, potable water, wastewater, and firewater systems supporting sustained offshore occupancy. Utility systems include robust control and safety systems, fire and gas detection, and communications that coordinate the integrated field infrastructure. Dan FC also links to reservoir management utilities such as water injection support and pressure maintenance controls. Export and subsea interfaces tie Dan FC into the broader Danish sector network of pipelines for hydrocarbon offload.
