Intro
P15D is a fixed gas processing platform in the P15/P18 area of the Dutch North Sea, installed in 1993. It handles natural gas from multiple satellite platforms (e.g., P15E, P15F, P15G, P18A) and subsea completions, performing gas conditioning and export functions with links to broader pipeline infrastructure to shore.
Field
The P15/P18 gas fields are shallow conventional gas accumulations in blocks P15a/b and P18a, developed with both platform and subsea wells. The gas typically requires separation and treatment offshore before export into the national gas grid via Maasvlakte export pipelines.
Facilities
P15D serves as the central gas processing and export hub for the P15/P18 area. It receives unprocessed gas from satellite platforms (P15E, P15F, P15G, P18A) and subsea completions. Facilities include multiphase separation, gas dehydration, condensate stabilization, and gas export metering. There are gas compression trains sized to boost gas for export pressure requirements. Produced liquids are stabilized and metered before export or routing to nearby oil facilities like Rijn C. Utilities include on-platform power generation, firewater, water treatment, and integrated control systems (DCS, ESD). The platform supports export of conditioned gas via a dedicated pipeline to Maasvlakte near Rotterdam, linking into the national gas network. The structure is designed for sustained offshore processing operations with routine maintenance access.
