Intro

P18A is a normally unmanned gas platform in the P15/P18 complex of the Dutch North Sea, brought onstream in 1993. It produces natural gas and exports production via pipeline to the central processing facilities at P15D. As of 2025, gas production has ceased with plans for conversion for CO- storage.

Field

The P18 block contains conventional gas reservoirs in shallow water adjacent to the P15 area, developed with platforms and subsea wells feeding central processing infrastructure. These reservoirs were part of Dutch offshore gas supply and are identified as potential CO- storage targets.

Facilities

P18A sits on a steel jacket with wellheads tied to subsea and pipeline systems leading to P15D for gas processing. Its facilities have been gas production focused, with flowlines, metering and safety systems integrated for export to the P15 processing hub. Utilities supported remote monitoring and control functions. The export pipeline connected P18A into the P15/P18 network for transmission ashore. In 2025 gas production ceased and the installation is being prepared for conversion to a CO- injection and storage site, including well conversions and pipeline modifications while maintaining structural support systems.
