Intro

K15-FC-1 is a fixed jacket satellite platform in Block K15 of the Dutch Southern North Sea, installed in 1989. It functions as a production gathering node tied back to central hubs (K15-FA-1 / K15-FB-1) for processing and export of gas. No major processing occurs onboard.

Field

The K15 field’s Rotliegendes sandstone reservoir in Block K15 is part of the K14-K18 gas fields. Satellites like K15-FC-1 extend reservoir access and feed into central platforms for efficient drainage and export into shared pipeline systems.

Facilities

K15-FC-1 comprises manifold structures and well slots collecting hydrocarbons from its wells, routing them via subsea flowlines to central platforms (typically K15-FB-1 or K15-FA-1) where separation, dehydration and compression occur. Topside facilities are minimal, focusing on well control, metering and safety systems. The platform receives electrical power and communications from host tie-backs. Structural design is a fixed steel jacket supporting risers. Stable features include remote instrumentation, subsea tie-backs, safety shutdowns and corrosion protection.
