Tethys's installation comprises a minimal steel jacket with topside supporting production well slots, Xmas trees and export manifolding. There is no significant onboard processing; gas is routed via a subsea pipeline network to the Saturn hub where dehydration and conditioning occurred before export to the Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal. Onboard utilities are limited to remote safety shutdown, local power for instrumentation and chemical injection points for flow assurance. The platform is designed for unmanned operation with remote control and periodic maintenance access. With the LOGGS complex in cold suspension, Tethys is subject to planned decommissioning, reflecting UKCS regulatory criteria for retirement of ageing satellite infrastructure.
