Elgin WHP hosts production wells and manifolds that collect reservoir fluids and route them via flowlines to the central PUQ platform. It lacks primary processing facilities: separation, compression, dehydration, and water treatment occur at the PUQ. Its topsides are limited to wellhead support equipment, flow control, and metering. Utilities consist of chemical injection systems for corrosion and hydrate management, remote instrumentation, and basic power for control equipment, typically via umbilical from the PUQ or local auxiliary generation. Emergency shutdown valves and remote isolation systems integrate into the complex's overall safety architecture. Routine drilling and well interventions are conducted using mobile drilling rigs. Export infrastructure from the PUQ carries conditioned gas to the Bacton terminal via SEAL and condensate via the Forties Pipeline System.
