Neptune
A fixed steel gas production platform in the Southern North Sea North Sea developed as part of the Easington Catchment Area (ECA). Commissioned in 1999, it processes Rotliegend-sandstone gas from the Neptune field and delivers separated gas via pipeline to Cleeton for further treatment and onwards export to shore. It handles production, dehydration/measurement and export functions in an unmanned/attended mode.

Field
The Neptune field lies in UK Block 47/4b in the Southern North Sea and is a Rotliegend sandstone gas reservoir developed in the late 1980s. As part of the ECA cluster, Neptune contributes modest gas volumes and is tied into a regional hub development. Liquids and gas are co-mingled at Neptune and routed to Cleeton for final processing and outlet to the national gas grid.
Facilities
Neptune's fixed platform comprises a steel jacket supporting topsides with well slots, manifolds, and primary separation/dehydration modules. Well fluids are produced from multiple wells drilled from the platform, routed to a two-phase separator and tri-ethylene glycol dehydration system. Dry gas is metered and exported via a dedicated 16-inch subsea pipeline to a riser tower on the nearby Cleeton installation. Water and condensate handling includes basic separation and transfer to the export line. Utilities include platform-based diesel power generation, instrument air, and control systems for flow regulation and safety. Methanol is piped from Cleeton for hydrate prevention in export lines. The platform is designed for continuous operations with remote monitoring and periodic maintenance visits.
