The QU platform hosts extensive accommodation facilities for personnel, including living quarters, dining and recreation spaces, and emergency evacuation systems. Utilities on QU include power generation units, HVAC, fresh water systems, sewage/waste handling, firefighting networks, instrument air, and control rooms for operations monitoring. Communications and safety systems, including fire/gas detection, emergency shutdown linkage to the PDR and subsea networks are integrated here. The bridge connections to the PDR platform allow for efficient movement of staff between processing and utility zones while maintaining separation for safety. QU also supports storage, maintenance workshops, and logistical facilities for field operations. The combined CPF structure (PDR and QU) forms the operational heart of ETAP.
