FB's utilities are limited: it imports power from the Forties power network rather than generating locally, and supports chemical injection for hydrate and corrosion control, basic control systems, and instrumentation linked to central control. Safety features include emergency shutdown, fire/gas detection, and remote isolation valves. Produced fluids are processed at Charlie, which handles separation, dehydration, compression and export. FB's design reflects a satellite role with minimal topside processing, enhancing the field's overall flow architecture by feeding into centralized processing and export trains.
