Douglas FPF
The Douglas FPF (Floating Production Facility) is a floating, turret-moored production unit located in the Irish Sea on the Douglas oilfield, installed in 1996. As a floating steel production facility, it handles crude oil and associated gas, delivering processed hydrocarbons to export pipelines. It is one of the few floating platforms in the UK/Irish Sea region.

Field
The Douglas oilfield lies in the Irish Sea and produces oil with associated gas. Discovered before production start in the mid-1990s, the field's reservoirs are developed with a floating production facility suited to the basin's shallow, sheltered conditions. Fluids are processed onboard and exported via subsea pipelines to onshore terminals.
Facilities
The Douglas FPF's turret mooring allows the facility to weathervane while connected to subsea wells. Wells produce multiphase fluids that are routed into onboard separators where oil, gas and water phases are segregated. Stabilised crude is metered and exported via subsea pipeline to an onshore processing terminal; gas is conditioned and either exported or utilised as fuel. The topsides include power generation modules, chemical injection systems for hydrate/corrosion control, produced water treatment and safety systems such as firewater networks and emergency shutdown. Accommodation and control facilities enable continuous offshore operations. The design emphasises stable floating operation with riser management via the turret and integration with pipeline export.
