Rough AP housed central processing facilities including gas conditioning, metering, and rerouting for sulphur and water removal prior to export. Its structural jacket supported topside processing modules, export header connections, and utility systems. During storage operations, AP coordinated injection and withdrawal cycles, linking to Bravo's compressor trains via subsea pipelines and to AD via an 18- interconnecting pipeline. AP's utilities included electrical generation/distribution (fed via subsea cable from Bravo), control systems, firewater, safety shutdown systems, and chemical injection for flow assurance. Processed gas was exported through a 36- pipeline to the Easington onshore terminal. In the early storage era, export of stored gas was coordinated through Bravo facilities equipped with twin Rolls-Royce Avon compression trains. The AP platform's role evolved to focus on interface and processing support rather than direct reservoir pressure maintenance with the Rough field's seasonal storage operation. Facilities have been prepared for decommissioning as part of the Rough Alpha installation removal. (turn1search1)
