Douglas DW is the wellhead/drilling platform in the Douglas Complex of Liverpool Bay (UK Block 110/13), installed in 1996. It supports drilling and production well slots feeding oil and gas to the adjacent processing platform via bridges. It's structurally linked to the rest of the complex and operates as part of an integrated hub.

Field
As part of the Douglas field, DW serves the conventional Triassic reservoirs in Liverpool Bay discovered in 1990 with production starting in 1996. The field yields both oil and gas, with DW providing the primary interface to the reservoir before fluids are routed to processing facilities within the Douglas Complex.
Facilities
Douglas DW hosts production and injection wellheads drilled into the Douglas reservoirs. It directs produced fluids via subsea risers to Douglas DP for bulk separation and conditioning. Topside infrastructure on DW includes well control panels, manifolds, choke systems, and emergency shutdown systems. There is minimal processing on DW itself; its focus is reservoir access and well management, including pressure monitoring and control. DW is bridge-linked to the processing (DP) and accommodation (DA) platforms, enabling integrated operations. Utilities include power distribution for well operations, control/communications systems linked to DP/DA, and safety systems compliant with UKCS standards. DW's jacket and topside are designed for structural integrity and to support well slot infrastructure under Liverpool Bay metocean conditions. Its location as the first hydrocarbon interface ensures reliable delivery of unprocessed fluids to DP for conditioning and onward export.
