Douglas DP
Douglas DP is the central production/processing platform of the Douglas Complex in Liverpool Bay off North Wales. Installed and commissioned with the complex in 1996, it separates oil, gas and water from wells tied back to the complex and routes hydrocarbon streams for export to onshore terminals. It is bridge-linked to the accommodation and wellhead platforms.

Field
The Douglas field's reservoirs are Triassic sandstones producing both oil and gas. The field was discovered in 1990 with first production in 1996. Douglas functions as a hub for satellites (e.g., Lennox, Hamilton) gathering hydrocarbons across Liverpool Bay, forming a core conventional development in the East Irish Sea.
Facilities
Douglas DP houses the main processing trains for the Douglas Complex. Fluids from the wellhead platform (DW) and satellite tie-backs are received into separators that split crude oil, gas and produced water. Oil is stabilised and routed through export pipelines and offshore storage for tanker loading. Gas is dehydrated, metered and compressed as needed before export via pipeline to the Point of Ayr Gas Terminal onshore. Produced water is treated to regulatory standards before discharge. The platform's utilities include power generation (large gas turbines), electrical distribution, instrument air, fire and gas systems, chemical injection for corrosion and hydrate control, and control/automation systems coordinating with accommodation (DA) and wellhead (DW) platforms. DP's design emphasises robust separation capacity, process safety layers, and integration with subsea tie-ins and satellite producers, ensuring efficient conditioning of hydrocarbons for onshore delivery.
