Cygnus A PU receives gas from subsea wells and from the Cygnus B Wellhead Platform. Facilities include inlet separation, gas dehydration, and gas compression to meet export specifications. Processed gas is exported via pipeline to the onshore gas terminal at Theddlethorpe. Produced water is treated prior to disposal. Utilities include gas-turbine power generation, electrical distribution, instrument air, chemical injection, firewater and deluge systems. The platform houses control systems managing processing and export operations across the Cygnus hub. Bridge links facilitate personnel movement and shared services with the QU platform. Safety systems include fire and gas detection, emergency shutdown valves, and relief systems. The fixed steel jacket and topsides are designed for long-term high-capacity dry gas processing operations.
