BW Catcher FPSO
The BW Catcher FPSO is a floating production, storage and offloading vessel operating in the UK Central North Sea, Block 28/9. Installed and commissioned in 2017, it serves the Catcher area oil fields. The FPSO is permanently moored and processes oil from multiple subsea developments, exporting stabilized crude via shuttle tankers.

Field
The Catcher area comprises several oil fields within the Central North Sea, producing from Jurassic sandstone reservoirs. Discovered between 1999 and 2010, the developments were designed as a clustered subsea tie-back scheme to a single FPSO to enable efficient development of multiple accumulations.
Facilities
The BW Catcher FPSO receives production from subsea wells via flexible risers. Topsides facilities include three-phase separation, oil stabilization, produced water treatment, and associated gas handling. Gas is primarily used as fuel, with surplus managed through controlled disposal systems. Produced water is treated and discharged in accordance with environmental standards. Stabilized crude oil is stored in the vessel's cargo tanks and offloaded to shuttle tankers in tandem configuration. Utilities include power generation, seawater lift, firewater and deluge systems, inert gas systems, chemical injection, and integrated control and safety systems. The FPSO is turret-moored, allowing it to weathervane in response to environmental conditions. The vessel is designed for long-term operation and acts as the central processing and export hub for the Catcher area fields.
