The Búzios 2 development was planned with 17 subsea wells connected to P-75: ten oil producers and seven injection wells. Subsea trees, production and injection flowlines, flexible risers and electro-hydraulic umbilicals connect the drill centres to the vessel. The FPSO’s documented topsides include multiphase separation and oil treatment, produced-water handling, seawater treatment and high-pressure injection, gas treatment, carbon-dioxide separation and compression, export-gas compression and injection-gas service. Treated gas also supplies fuel and gas-lift duties. P-75 was converted from a very large crude carrier and carries modular topsides above a double-hull storage vessel. Its cargo tanks hold approximately 1.4 million barrels of stabilised crude. Oil is transferred periodically to relief or shuttle tankers through the FPSO’s offshore offloading system; no permanent oil-export pipeline connects the vessel to shore. Gas is compressed for field use, reinjection or export through the Búzios subsea gas network and the wider pre-salt pipeline routes. The regional network includes Rota 3, which terminates at the Boaventura Energy Complex at Itaboraí. Permanent marine and process support includes power generation, fiscal and process metering, chemical injection, flare and pressure-relief systems, integrated control and safety systems, emergency shutdown, fire-and-gas detection, firewater, seawater lift, cargo handling and accommodation. The vessel remains fixed on location while subsea lines approach dedicated riser porches along the hull.
