Gullfaks A supports numerous production and injection wells drilled through its concrete base and steel topsides. Topside facilities include three-phase separation, crude stabilisation, oil storage cells and interfaces for gas export. Oil is stabilized and routed to offshore loading systems via mooring buoys; rich gas is exported into Statpipe and further to onshore processing at Kårstø. Water injection enhances recovery and utilities include power generation, water handling and flare systems. Accommodation and control rooms support safe, long-term offshore operations. Gullfaks A also receives and processes hydrocarbons from satellite fields such as Gullfaks South, Rimfaks and others tied back via subsea infrastructure.
