Oseberg C

Oseberg C is a fixed steel jacket integrated production, drilling and quarters platform on the Oseberg field in the North Sea. Installed in 1991 and part of the broader Oseberg Field Centre, it produces oil and gas which are stabilized and exported via pipeline to onshore facilities.

Field

The Oseberg field lies ~140-km northwest of Bergen in ~100-m water depth, discovered in 1979. It produces oil with associated gas from multiple Middle Jurassic sandstone formations via a cluster of bridge-linked platforms (A, B, D) and satellites.

Facilities

Oseberg C's topsides integrate production wells, drilling slots, three-phase separation, gas compression and dehydration modules. Oil and associated gas from both its own wells and subsea tie-backs undergo stabilization routines before export. Stabilised oil is piped via the Oseberg Transport System (OTS) to the Sture terminal for storage/refining; gas is compressed and sent into the Oseberg Gas Transport (OGT) pipeline and onward into continental markets through Statpipe or to the UK via suitable networks. The platform includes utilities for power generation, water handling, and control systems interfacing with the broader Oseberg field centre. Accommodation modules support long-term offshore teams. The steel jacket structure anchors in seabed strata and supports integrated processing suited to mature field operations and subsea connectivity.
