Norne FPSO is a turret-moored vessel receiving production from numerous subsea templates (including Urd, Alve, Skuld, Marulk and Verdande tie-backs). The vessel houses separation trains for crude and gas, water treatment, and storage tanks for oil. Water injection is deployed on subsea templates for reservoir drive. Gas is conditioned and exported via dedicated pipeline via the Åsgard Transport System to onshore processing at Kårstø. Oil is stored onboard and offloaded to shuttle tankers. The turret swivel allows for weathervaning around the mooring spread. Onboard utilities include power generation (gas turbines), ballast and cargo handling systems, fire and safety systems, and control rooms managing subsea and topside operations. Long-term field extension projects rely on Norne's capacity and connectivity to subsea developments.
