Field
The Njord field in the Norwegian Sea produces oil and gas from Jurassic reservoirs. Water depth is ~330-m, and the field commenced production in 1997. Njord Bravo functions as integral storage for the field's oil output, linking offshore production to export logistics.
Facilities
Njord Bravo is a converted storage vessel permanently moored near the Njord A platform. It receives processed crude via pipelines from Njord A's separation and oil handling facilities. The FSU's primary function is crude storage and transfer to shuttle tankers; it has multiple loading arms and facilities for safe marine transfer. There is limited processing onboard: crude stability handling, metering and basic utility systems. The vessel includes ballast and hull systems for station keeping, marine loading arms, mooring spread and safety systems. Power generation and electrical distribution support cargo and marine systems. Control systems manage cargo handling, pressure control, and emergency shutdowns, ensuring safe interfacing between producing facilities, storage, and transport tankers.
