The P2 platform provides additional oil processing capacity to sustain long-term plateau production. Facilities include inlet separation, oil stabilization, produced water handling, and associated utilities integrated with the wider field infrastructure. Fluids from production wells routed through the field's wellhead platforms are processed across the complex, with P2 relieving capacity constraints on earlier installations. Treated oil is exported via subsea pipelines to the Mongstad terminal. Produced water is treated and reinjected or discharged according to field design. The platform operates with power supplied from shore, eliminating routine offshore power generation and significantly reducing emissions. Utilities include electrical distribution, control and automation systems, fire and gas detection, deluge systems, and safety shutdown interfaces. P2 is bridge-linked to other Johan Sverdrup platforms, enabling shared utilities, personnel movement, and integrated operations. The fixed steel jacket and topsides are designed for long-term, high-throughput oil processing under stable operating conditions.
