34/7 HY04
34/7 HY04 is one of the floating wind turbines installed as part of the Hywind Tampen offshore wind farm. Commissioned in the early 2020s, it contributes renewable power to offshore oil and gas infrastructure in the Norwegian North Sea. The turbine is permanently stationed and grid-connected offshore.

Field
The Hywind Tampen development is positioned in the Norwegian North Sea near the Snorre and Gullfaks fields. These mature oil and gas fields provided the demand case for offshore wind power integration to reduce operational emissions.
Facilities
HY04 features a floating spar foundation anchored to the seabed by catenary moorings. The turbine includes a nacelle-mounted generator, rotor blades, pitch control, and yaw systems. Electrical output is delivered via dynamic cables to the offshore power network. The unit is unmanned and remotely operated, with safety systems focused on electrical isolation and structural integrity. No processing, storage, or drilling facilities are included.
