The Nyhamna Gas Plant (also called the Ormen Lange land facility) is a major onshore processing and export terminal for natural gas from the Ormen Lange field. Operational since 2007, the terminal conditions gas for export via the Langeled subsea pipeline to the UK and other European markets.

Field
Nyhamna is located on the Nyhamna peninsula in Aukra Municipality, western Norway. It receives high-pressure raw gas from the Ormen Lange offshore field via subsea trunk lines. The gas plant processes and conditions the hydrocarbons, including dehydration and condensate separation, before export. Nyhamna is integral to Norway's gas export infrastructure, linking to the UK through the Langeled pipeline.
Facilities
The Nyhamna Gas Plant consists of gas conditioning trains that remove water and heavier hydrocarbons, metering and compression systems to meet export specifications, and interfaces with the Langeled pipeline linking Norway to the UK. Supporting infrastructure includes utility systems for power, water handling, flare and safety systems, and control rooms. Historically, onshore power generation assets (including auxiliary or reserve units) have existed near the facility to support grid reliability but are seldom used in routine operations. The plant's design prioritises reliability for continuous high-pressure gas handling, with redundancy in processing and safety trains. It interfaces with pipeline networks and export connections, and includes storage and handling for separated liquids.
