Hæwene Brim's FPSO system combines topside production processing with large onboard storage in the converted tanker hull. Wellstreams from subsea completions are routed to onboard separators that remove gas, oil, and water. Stabilised crude is stored in the hull tanks until shuttle tankers are moored for offloading. Gas is handled through separation and export or reinjection systems as determined by field infrastructure. The vessel's dynamic positioning and mooring engages station-keeping in North Sea conditions. Other facilities include power generation (typically gas-turbine-based), ballast and stability systems, utility systems for water handling and flare, and control systems for safety and process monitoring. Accommodation and support modules enable crew rotation. The design emphasises robust topside processing and storage capacity, resilient mooring for extended field life, and shuttle tanker interface systems for continuous export operations.
