The Teesside terminal at Seal Sands, UK, is a North Sea crude reception, processing, storage and export facility fed by the Norpipe Oil pipeline from Ekofisk and UK Fulmar/J-Block fields. It performs stabilisation of crude and separation of NGLs prior to export and feeds the UK market and export routes.

Field
Located on the UK North Sea coast, the associated Ekofisk area includes oil and gas accumulations in Paleocene and Upper Cretaceous reservoirs. Crude and liquids are piped to Teesside for processing. The field development spans multiple platforms and subsea systems, with long-term export via pipelines to UK onshore terminals.
Facilities
At Teesside, incoming crude and natural gas liquids arrive via subsea pipeline, are stabilised to remove light ends, and separated into oil, NGL fractions and gas. Process trains include crude stabilisation columns, NGL fractionation units, storage tanks, vapour recovery, and metering systems. The terminal has significant storage tankage for crude and NGL, pipeline interfaces, and ship loading facilities. The processed crude is stored and exported to market or further refined, while NGLs are fractionated and sold into petrochemical or LPG markets. Utilities include electrical power, steam, water treatment, flare systems, and control/SCADA infrastructure for stable processing operations.
