The Nyhamna plant receives multiphase gas from subsea wells via pipelines and processes it to remove condensate, water and impurities. Gas is dehydrated and conditioned to meet export specifications. It includes compressors to raise gas pressure for efficient export through the Langeled pipeline one of the world's longest subsea gas export lines. Condensate and natural gas liquids are separated and stored or transported to market. Utility systems include electrical power, process water handling, safety shutdown and flare systems, and control and metering facilities for export. The plant's integration with the Langeled export route underpins its infrastructure: gas flows through a 1-100km subsea pipeline to the Easington terminal in the UK, connecting Norwegian supplies into the UK National Transmission System.
