Ekofisk M-BS
Ekofisk M-BS is a tripod-type subsea support structure in the Ekofisk field, installed to provide manifold, riser, and subsea support functions for production infrastructure. Entering service in October 2005, it forms part of the subsea network serving the Greater Ekofisk complex.

Field
As part of the Ekofisk field, M-BS supports the long-lived central North Sea oil province. The field's reservoirs in chalk and other formations have been developed over decades with extensive subsea and surface installations tied into export pipelines to continental Europe and the UK.
Facilities
The M-BS structure provides subsea wellhead and flowline support, manifolds, and connection points for export risers and umbilicals. It is integrated with other platforms and subsea templates across the Ekofisk area, facilitating fluid routing from subsea wells into the topside processing centres. The facility supports drilling, production and injection operations via subsea flowlines and risers that tie into production platforms (such as Ekofisk M and neighbouring installations). Manifold assemblies separate or combine production and injection streams and direct them to the appropriate processing systems. Operational systems include subsea control modules, high-integrity flow control equipment, and interfaces for intervention and maintenance activities. The structure is engineered for North Sea environmental loads, with a design life aligned with the broader Ekofisk field's extended operating horizon.
