Ekofisk M is a fixed jacket platform in the Greater Ekofisk area of the Norwegian North Sea, installed in 2005 as part of the Ekofisk Growth project. It serves primarily as a wellhead and production support platform with some processing capability, linked by bridges and subsea lines to the Ekofisk central facilities.

Field
Ekofisk is one of the oldest and most prolific oil and gas provinces in the Norwegian sector, discovered in 1969. Reservoirs are in chalk and other formations at ~70-m water depth. The field has supported extensive infrastructure development with multiple satellites. Production began in the early 1970s and continues via a network of platforms and pipelines.
Facilities
Ekofisk M (designated Ekofisk 2/4 M) is a jacket-mounted platform with topsides configured for wellhead operations, high-pressure separation, and water treatment. It interfaces with other Ekofisk installations via bridges and manifolds. Multiple production wells drilled from M tie into the complex hydrocarbon handling system, feeding crude and gas into the broader Ekofisk processing network. Separation trains handle primary fluid segregation; stabilized oil is sent to export pipelines to the UK, and gas is routed via the Norpipe system or Gassco transport network. Water handling systems manage produced water for reinjection or discharge under regulatory standards. Utilities include platform power generation, fire-fighting and safety systems, and control systems integrated with the Ekofisk central control infrastructure. Structural design accommodates North Sea conditions and subsidence considerations inherent to the Ekofisk chalk reservoir.
