Onboard living quarters accommodate operations personnel managing metering, flow control and monitoring of pressure, volume and gas quality. There is minimal processing; main functions centre on manifold and riser management, emergency shutdowns, and communications with the broader Gassled network. Power systems support the living quarters and control systems, with safety utilities such as flare and emergency power. Combined with Draupner E, it provides a stable pipeline junction hub across multiple transmission routes into continental Europe.
