Kollsnes comprises multiple process trains for gas dehydration, mercury removal, NGL extraction, fractionation interfaces, and high-pressure gas compression. Rich inlet gas arrives via trunk pipelines; NGL components are separated and sent into the Vestprosess pipeline to Mongstad for further fractionation, storage, or export. Dry gas is compressed and conditioned for export into the integrated Gassled pipeline network (Statpipe, Europipe, Zeepipe). Utilities include power generation, heat recovery, flare systems, water treatment, and control rooms coordinating fieldwide pipeline operations. Safety systems cover emergency shutdowns, gas detection, and compressor protection. As a stable midstream hub, Kollsnes supports long-term processing capacity linked directly with offshore infrastructure and European gas markets.
