G17d-AP is a fixed normally unmanned gas processing and aggregation platform in Block G17d of the Dutch North Sea, commissioned in 2005. It serves as a central processing hub for gas from nearby satellites (e.g., G16a-B), providing further separation, conditioning, and export compression before delivery into regional pipelines.

The G17d gas area is part of the broader G-quadrant gas province offshore the Netherlands, characterized by Rotliegendes sandstone reservoirs. The development includes multiple satellite and processing installations that consolidate production for efficient export.

Facilities

G17d-AP's facilities include gas separation trains, dehydration, and compression modules to condition gas received from satellites before export. It integrates flow metering and quality control systems to meet pipeline specifications. Onboard electrical generation powers control systems, process utilities, and safety systems such as fire/gas detection and emergency shutdown. The platform supports remote operation with satellite communications and SCADA, linking into the larger Dutch Continental Shelf gas transport infrastructure. Export pipelines connect the processed gas to onshore networks, ensuring continuity of supply. Utility systems cover instrument air, cooling water, and essential services. Periodic vessel support ensures structural and equipment integrity, with topside and subsea maintenance programs in place.
