The G17d area encompasses conventional shallow-water gas accumulations developed with satellite wellhead platforms in the G-quadrant of the Dutch Continental Shelf. Reservoirs are Rotliegendes sandstones typical of Southern North Sea gas developments. Multiple installations tie into central export routes.
Facilities
G17d-A hosts production wells with subsea and topside flowlines feeding into separation and metering facilities. It interfaces with satellites such as G16a-B, receiving gas through subsea pipelines for further conditioning and export. The platform's electrical generation supports control and safety systems, including SCADA communications, emergency shutdown, fire/gas detection, and instrument air. Utilities provide cooling and essential support functions for unmanned operation. Export infrastructure consists of pipeline connections to regional gas transport networks, linking into the Dutch onshore gas grid. Periodic maintenance and inspection by service vessels sustain the platform structure, risers, and subsea assets.
