Field

The A18 area lies within the A and B shallow gas blocks in the Dutch sector, with deltaic Pleistocene reservoir sands targeted for conventional gas production. These fields are part of the broader shallow gas system producing via central processing facilities.

Facilities

A18 comprises a steel jacket and topsides with accommodation and production facilities sized for a small satellite gas field. Its primary role is to gather gas from development wells and route it via pipeline to the A12 central processing platform, where separation, dehydration and compression occur ahead of export ashore. On-platform utilities include electrical systems, helideck for occasional access, safety shutdown and remote monitoring. The pipeline connection and tie-ins into the shallow gas export network provide reliable export capacity into the national gas grid.
