K14-FA

K14-FA / K14-FA-1 is a fixed steel jacket central gas production and processing platform in Block K14 of the Dutch Southern North Sea. Installed in the mid-1970s, it processes high- and low-calorific natural gas and supports export to onshore networks. It links physically with satellite platforms including K14-FB-1, K15 installations and a dedicated compression platform (K14-FA-1C) by bridge and subsea pipelines.

Field

The K14 field sits in the Southern North Sea's Block K14 forming part of the larger K14-K18 gas province developed from Rotliegendes sandstone reservoirs. First gas was produced in 1977. The field development comprises a central hub and multiple satellites delivering gas into shared export infrastructure to Dutch gas grids. Rotliegendes reservoirs are conventionally developed at moderate water depths.

Facilities

K14-FA / K14-FA-1 hosts multiple drilled wells feeding into topside processing modules that separate gas, condensate and water. Gas treatment includes dehydration, compression and metering before export via pipelines to onshore systems and to adjacent hubs such as K15-FA-1. A dedicated compression facility, K14-FA-1C, is bridge-linked for pressure support. The platform's utilities include gas-turbine power generation, produced-water handling, flare systems for safety and integrated control systems enabling partially unmanned operations. Satellite tie-back pipelines from K14-FB-1, K15 satellites and K17-FA-1 feed gas into K14-FA's central processing trains. Structural design is a robust fixed jacket supporting drilling, processing, and accommodation modules. Redundant safety systems, remote monitoring and corrosion management systems are stable features of the installation.
