Q4-C
Q4-C was the principal fixed platform in the Q4 gas field complex in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. Installed in the early 2000s alongside Q4-A and Q4-B, it handled gas production, processing and export to onshore infrastructure via subsea pipelines. Its design supported well drilling, production, and tie-in functions for the field network.

Field
The Q4 fields target conventional gas accumulations in the Southern North Sea. Q4-C connected to satellite wellheads and served as a central hub for gathering gas before export. The reservoir development focused on sandstone units typical of Dutch North Sea gas plays feeding regional transmission pipelines.
Facilities
Q4-C's steel jacket held topside modules for drilling, gas separation and dehydration, initial compression where needed, and export metering. Multiple subsea flowlines converged on the platform, with gas transported onshore through interfield pipeline tie-ins. Utilities included platform power generation, water/chemical injection for flow assurance, and control systems integrated with remote supervisory networks. The installation contributed to export flows via pipelines into the Dutch sector grid, and ultimately to broader European gas networks. Gas quality conditioning and dehydration on Q4-C ensured compatibility with transmission specifications.
