L5-B
A normally unmanned fixed satellite gas production platform in block L5 of the Dutch Southern North Sea, installed to develop the L5 block gas reservoirs. Production started in the early 2000s (circa 2003). L5-B handled processing and export tie-in duties, often connected to adjacent infrastructure such as L8-P4 for onward export. It is subject to decommissioning planning.

Field
The L5 block includes conventional natural gas reservoirs in Lower Permian Rotliegendes sandstone beneath the Southern North Sea. The L5-B field was discovered in 1999 and developed with satellite platforms producing natural gas. Nearby fields like L5-C and export hubs support regional development.
Facilities
L5-B's infrastructure comprised well slots for production wells tied to a topside with minimal processing (separation, gas conditioning). Produced gas was piped via short subsea lines to platform L8-P4 or similar host infrastructure for further processing/export. The platform's utility systems supported unmanned operation with remote control, limited gas dehydration, and chemical injection for flow assurance. Power was likely via onboard generators sized to support minimal control and transfer systems. Its design reflected a satellite link role in a cluster development for multiple small gas accumulations.
