Field
The K7 field's Rotliegendes sandstone reservoir is part of the broader K7-K12 gas province. Developed with multiple platforms, gas from K7-FD-1 flows towards the central processing installation (K7-FA-1) before export. The field's gas quality and reservoir characteristics support extended production life through satellite tiebacks.
Facilities
K7-FD-1 is principally a wellhead satellite tied to K7-FA-1 via subsea pipelines. It accommodates several production wells with manifolds routed via flowlines to the host for separation and compression. There is limited topside processing; major facilities remain at K7-FA-1. Structural design is a steel jacket supporting well slots and riser bases. Control systems facilitate remote operation and integration with host processing controls. Power and utilities are minimal, often supplied through the host tie-back. The platform's function is to extend field drainage and optimize reservoir recovery by accessing wells distant from the main host platform.
