K4A

Field
The K04-A field is a shallow conventional gas reservoir in the Dutch sector producing natural gas from Lower Permian formations. Connected with the broader K4b/K5a block developments, the field's reserves are developed with multiple small platforms and subsea tie-backs feeding central processing.
Facilities
The K4A installation comprises a steel jacket with well slots tied to subsea completions. It lacks full processing capability, instead routing unprocessed gas through pipelines to a nearby processing platform (e.g., K5P or equivalent). The platform includes basic metering and flow control, with remote monitoring and safety systems. Gas export flows through subsea pipelines integrated into the K4/K5 area network, then into the national export grid. Utilities for K4A focus on control umbilicals, emergency shutdown, and minimal local power for sensors and communication.
