L13-FC-1

L13-FC-1 is a fixed normally unmanned gas production/wellhead platform in Block L13 of the Dutch North Sea, installed in 1986. It produces natural gas and serves as a gathering point for satellite wells in the L13 cluster, exporting via subsea pipelines to regional export infrastructure such as K15-FA-1. It connects physically to nearby L13 installations.

Field

The L13 field is a conventional shallow-water gas accumulation in Block L13 offshore the Netherlands, developed with several fixed platforms feeding gas from Rotliegendes reservoirs. The field comprises L13-FC-1, L13-FD-1, L13-FE-1, with production tied into Dutch export networks.

Facilities

L13-FC-1 hosts multiple production well slots connected to reservoir zones via wellheads and flowlines. Topside facilities include flow metering and basic phase separation before export. Gas is conditioned to meet pipeline specifications and routed through subsea export lines to larger hubs (e.g., K15-FA-1). Electrical generation provides power for remote monitoring, control (SCADA), and safety systems including emergency shutdown and fire/gas detection. Utilities include instrument air and essential support services for normally unmanned operations. Subsea infrastructure comprises risers, flowlines, and corrosion protection systems. Periodic vessel-based maintenance supports structural integrity and pipeline inspection. Integration with adjacent platforms facilitates coordinated field development and stable export to the Dutch gas grid.
