Field
The part of the K05a-B gas field associated with K5D consists of conventional shallow-water Permian reservoirs. Development uses small platforms and subsea tie-backs to central processing hubs, with export via trunk pipelines.
Facilities
K5D comprises a steel jacket with well access, basic metering, and flow control. The platform does not host full gas processing; instead, unprocessed gas is transported via subsea pipelines to central facilities where separation, dehydration, and compression occur. K5D's utilities include remote monitoring, emergency shutdown, and minimal local power for instrumentation. Export gas ties into the K-area pipeline network and onward to onshore export systems.
