Dulang D
An unmanned fixed steel-jacket drilling and wellhead platform installed during Phase III of the Dulang development and brought into the field system in 1995. Located in the western field area in about 76 metres of water, it accesses deep, extended-reach oil wells, gathers their full wellstream and sends it by subsea pipeline to Dulang B, while receiving gas-lift and water-injection services from the central complex.

Field
Dulang D develops the western area of the large, mature Dulang oil field in the Malay Basin, offshore Terengganu. Northwest–southeast faults separate this area from the central unit area, within a wider, complexly faulted anticline. The producing section comprises stacked late Miocene Group D and Group E sandstones of tidal, fluvial and deltaic origin. Development required highly deviated, long-step-out wells drilled from one fixed satellite platform.
Facilities
Dulang D is the western satellite drilling platform and is normally unmanned. Its platform wells were the deepest and had the highest step-out ratios then drilled by the field developer offshore Peninsular Malaysia. Published completion records describe inclinations reaching about 83 degrees, with several perforated intervals close to the oil–water contact. These conditions required specialised drilling and completion methods, including tubing-conveyed perforating and gravel-pack work in highly deviated wells. The wells terminate at surface trees connected to wellhead flowlines and production gathering equipment. Documented controls include wellhead-control equipment, individual well-control modules and a simultaneous-production-and-drilling panel, providing local well control while drilling and production activities coexist. Dulang D sends unprocessed oil, associated gas and produced water through the permanent subsea pipeline network to Dulang B. It has no crude-stabilisation plant, bulk storage or tanker-loading facility; separation, treatment and export occur at the central platform and FSO. A documented 6-inch gas-lift pipeline runs approximately 7 kilometres from Dulang B to D, supplying artificial-lift gas to the platform wells. Public project records also identify a water-injection guard filter at Dulang D, connecting the installation to the field waterflood and injection architecture. Local facilities therefore focus on well access, multiphase gathering, gas-lift and injection distribution and well controls. Dulang D’s output remains untreated until it reaches Dulang B. Stabilised crude is then transferred by submarine pipeline to the field FSO for storage and offloading to export tankers.
