Dulang C
An unmanned fixed steel-jacket drilling and wellhead platform forming Phase II of the Dulang oil-field development offshore Peninsular Malaysia. Installation was completed in 1993 in approximately 76 metres of water. It provides surface well access and gathers oil, associated gas and water from its platform wells, routing the unprocessed full wellstream to Dulang B while receiving gas-lift and injection services through inter-platform lines.

Field
Dulang C serves the unit area of the large, mature Dulang field in the Malay Basin, roughly 130 kilometres northeast of Kuala Terengganu. The field is a faulted east–west anticline subdivided into numerous compartments by north–south, northwest–southeast and east–west faults. Reservoirs are stacked late Miocene Group D and Group E sandstones deposited in tidal, fluvial and deltaic settings. Development is by fixed drilling platforms feeding a central processing hub.
Facilities
Dulang C is one of the field’s three unmanned drilling platforms; it does not duplicate the central oil-stabilisation and storage functions installed at Dulang B. Platform wells terminate at surface wellheads and are gathered through wellhead and flowline piping. Documented control equipment includes a wellhead-control panel, individual well-control modules and a simultaneous-production-and-drilling panel, permitting controlled production during drilling or well-intervention operations. The platform exports its combined oil, associated-gas and water stream through the permanent subsea pipeline network to Dulang B. There the stream enters the field’s separation, crude-treatment, compression and export system. Dulang C has no independent tanker-loading or bulk-storage installation. A dedicated 6-inch gas-lift line from Dulang B terminates at C and distributes lift gas to selected platform wells. Public project and maintenance records also identify water-injection filtration equipment at Dulang C, linking the wellhead installation to the field’s waterflood system. A separate submarine cable connection between Dulang B and C forms part of the inter-platform infrastructure. As a normally unmanned installation, C’s permanent facilities centre on surface trees, wellhead flowlines, production gathering, pipeline interfaces, gas-lift and water-injection equipment and documented well-control systems rather than full hydrocarbon processing. Personnel attend for drilling, maintenance and intervention. Fluids remain multiphase until they reach Dulang B; stabilised crude ultimately leaves the central platform by submarine pipeline to the field FSO for storage and tanker offloading.
