Field
Within the Halfdan field (a major oil and gas producer operating since 1999) Halfdan BD supports increased reservoir recovery through additional separation and treatment facilities, bolstering the processing train of the Halfdan B complex.
Facilities
Halfdan BD hosts multiphase separators, gas compressors, water treatment and purification systems integrated with the Halfdan B cluster. It processes fluids from wells tied into HBD and BB riser nodes, handling separation of oil, gas and water. The platform supports produced-water treatment prior to discharge, gas compression for export or lift, and high-capacity power generation (c.21-MW) for processing and utilities. Bridge links provide access to accommodation (BC) and riser (BB) platforms within the complex. Safety infrastructure includes extensive fire water, flare systems, emergency shutdown valves and control systems. Exports proceed via subsea pipelines into Danish Offshore Consortium networks (gas to Tyra West; liquids and water to onshore/adjacent hubs). Structural design is a robust jacket supporting heavy topsides and integrated process modules.
