Valdemar AB is a fixed jacket unmanned satellite wellhead platform in the Valdemar field, Danish North Sea, installed around 2005 to expand production capacity from the field's northern (North Jens) area. Field
The Valdemar oil and gas field, discovered in 1977 (Bo) and 1985 (North Jens), produces from Danian and Upper/Lower Cretaceous chalk reservoirs. The field started production in 1993 and was developed with multiple platforms across the 5504/7 and 5504/11 blocks. Valdemar AB accesses the North Jens reservoir segment as part of this phased development plan.
Facilities
Valdemar AB comprises manifold headers and well slots that gather oil and gas from the North Jens reservoir. It is a modest unmanned wellhead installation with basic utilities for remote control and instrumentation, and no significant processing. Well flows are routed via subsea flowlines and bridge links to Valdemar AA/Valdemar AA-AB complex where primary separation, metering and export conditioning occur. Export infrastructure connects into Danish and regional pipelines; gas typically enters the Tyra West export system, while liquids are integrated into shared export lines. Stable features include corrosion protection, subsea tie-backs, remote shutdown systems, and flow assurance measures.
