Dan FD

Dan FD is the dedicated flare platform in the Dan oil field, installed in 1992. It provides safe flaring and disposal capacity for excess or unprocessed gas from the Dan F complex and supports field pressure relief operations. It is a steel jacket structure without independent processing or accommodation.

Field

As part of the Dan field, Dan FD helps manage associated gas produced from Upper Cretaceous chalk reservoirs. Flaring platforms like Dan FD ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during routine and non-routine operations.

Facilities

Dan FD's infrastructure is a steel jacket supporting flare booms and stack equipment. It interfaces with the Dan FC processing hub via pipelines that deliver excess gas for combustion. Utility systems focus on flare ignition, pilot systems, flame supervision, emergency shutdown valves, and integration with field safety systems. Control and monitoring are conducted remotely, with periodic maintenance support. The flare platform's design emphasizes safe dissipation of surplus gas while minimizing impact on central processing operations, enabling uninterrupted production at Dan FC and associated platforms.
