ACE is a single steel-jacket production, drilling and quarters platform with 48 well slots for oil producers and reservoir-injection wells. The jacket weighs approximately 16,000 tonnes, stands about 153 metres high and carries water-injection, oil-export and gas-export risers. The approximately 19,600-tonne topsides include a fully automated drilling rig, wellheads, production manifolds and integrated accommodation. Installed process facilities handle commingled oil, associated gas and produced water. Documented equipment includes high-pressure production separation, oil treatment and export pumping, produced-water handling, gas compression, fuel-gas service and systems for gas lift and reservoir gas injection. Water injection is supplied through a dedicated pipeline from East Azeri, ultimately receiving treated injection water from the bridge-linked Central Azeri Compression and Water Injection Platform. ACE can route both gas and water to injection wells for reservoir-pressure support. New in-field pipelines, ranging approximately six to twelve kilometres, connect ACE oil and gas exports to the existing ACG Phase 2 export lines. These pipelines carry the streams to the Sangachal Terminal south of Baku. From Sangachal, crude enters Azerbaijan’s established export network, principally the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline, while treated associated gas enters the national gas system. A combined subsea cable from East Azeri provides backup electrical power and telecommunications. Permanent platform systems include metering, chemical injection, power generation, remote-control interfaces, emergency shutdown, fire-and-gas detection, firewater, flare and pressure relief, helideck, cranes and living quarters. ACE was designed for primary control from an onshore control room.
