The original Greater Bongkot North development comprised three fixed wellhead platforms, a central processing platform, a living-quarters platform and a floating storage and offloading vessel for condensate. Later phases added further wellhead and riser structures. Greater Bongkot South entered production in 2012 as a separate fixed complex incorporating a central processing platform, accommodation and flare structures and 13 wellhead platforms. At the north complex, installed process equipment includes production separation, carbon-dioxide removal, membrane pretreatment, gas compression, gas metering and export facilities, condensate stabilisation, power generation and a heating-medium system. Well fluids from satellite platforms are gathered through subsea pipelines before treatment at the central facilities. Process-control, emergency-shutdown, fire-and-gas detection, firewater, flare and telecommunications systems support the permanently staffed processing hubs. Bongkot gas is exported through the Bongkot–Erawan gas pipeline, approximately 171 kilometres long, to the Erawan production and riser hub. It then enters the PTT offshore transmission network for delivery toward Thailand’s onshore gas system. Greater Bongkot South connects to the same grid through a dedicated spur pipeline. Condensate from both development areas is routed to Bongkot FSO2 at Greater Bongkot North; the southern complex uses an approximately 80-kilometre connection to that vessel. FSO2 provides permanent liquid storage and tanker offloading, so the fixed processing platforms do not contain large export-storage tanks.
